Prepare A, using a suitable dispersion unit (e.g., Ultra Turrax, Silverson, etc.) to disperse the hydroxypropyl starch phosphate. Heat to 75-80°C. Prepare B and heat to 70-75°C. Add B to A and homogenize for a few minutes using a suitable dispersion unit. At 40°C, add C and D. Homogenize for a few minutes. Cool to room temperature under slow agitation.
Appearance-Very shiny and soft gel-cream, good spreadability, silky after-feel; Viscosity-8,000-9,000 mPa-s (10 rpm, Brk. RVDV-E, Sp. T-C, after 24 h at room temperature); pH-3.5-4.0.
